Girls this sweater could not be more perfect for cozy fall days. It’s roomy, it’s thermal, it has shoulder cut outs, and it’s PINK! Like my favorite shade of pink!!! It comes in two other colors, so head over to Pink Blush to shop this and more. Sign up to receive their emails and get 15% off your first order.
I love plaid, and I love pink, so you can only guess how excited I was to find this perfect button up at h&m the other day. It’s so soft, and a perfect fit. I find myself working lots of outfits around this staple piece. It can be worn so many different ways, and with so many different color pallets!! Check out a few ways I styled it below. And also this carmel colored cotton dress!!!! It’s a must girls.
Last week I looked through my closet and realized my sweater game was really lacking. I know that might be hard to believe, but seriously everything I had was at least 3 years old and most were starting to get unwanted holes!! So I headed to h&m to stock up, and Indiana must of read my mind because the cold weather blew in almost simultaneously.
Gosh you can’t beat h&m prices right?! For a little over $100 bucks I got 5 great pieces that I will be styling over the next few weeks. Here is look number one for slightly warmer days.
This cream colored beauty is only $19.99 can you believe it?? It’s such nice quality and such a cute fit. And these OTK boots, yeah they’re knock offs for a fraction of the price. I bought them last season and they still look great. I figured while I’m saving all my pennies for the “real thing” these will do just fine. I bought them at DSW for around $50!! I know right?!
Happy Sweater shopping!!
** disclaimer** Just my opinions on styles you should snag and trends that have gone stale. As always I recommend only splurging on trends you LOVE, or the ones you know are hanging around for a while. Test the waters with some quality knock off pieces first and gradually work in designer pieces. For example denim- splurge, Sunnies- save. Nordstrom is always a great place for all price ranges!
Button front skirts – HOT
Denim leggings– not.
I’m not taking about the ever popular, super soft, almost real denim jeggings. More those elastic waist pull up denim fakers.
Oversized tops– HOT.
Raid your man’s closet!
Sew on patches – HOT.
Especially on those oversized tops.
Give me all the fringe!
Cotton maxi skirts– not
Tribal print– not.
Easy on the printed cardis and ponchos people.
Try built in chokers for even more glam look.
Excessive ruffles– HOT
Cropped jackets– not.
Cropped jackets cut women off at the worst part on their body. Especially if not worn with something high waisted.
Rounded toe pumps– not
Cropped wide leg pants– HOT
Top knots – not
Now I’m not saying don’t ever put your hair in a top knot, but these days le top knot has become more of a lazy sweatpant style, and overall less chic.
Cheap faux leather – not
I’m all about vegan leather, but make sure you are getting good quality. Nothing is worse that a bomber jacket with cracked leather or glossy film.
Dusty pink– HOT.
Threads, shoes, bags, and lips. Just can’t get enough!
Peep toe booties– HOT
Black blazers– not
Unless you are a business professional this should not be in your wardrobe. And by all means please avoid animal print and blazers.
Cork wedges– not
Bleached ends– not.
Instead go for a more natural sombre (soft ombré) look.
A lot of times after a shopping haul I like to lay everything out and make up quick outfits. This helps me see what (if anything) I am still in need of for the season. Also it gives me some easy go to outfits for days when I don’t have time to think up a cute one. I snap pics with my phone and keep them in an album called “Aniston’s outfits” or “Kempton’s outfits” you get the drill. The other day when I was snapping pictures I got to thinking, why have I never shared these with you all before?! The flat lays I come up with create great inspiration for all future looks I put together. Most of the time these original outfits are my favorites, but there are times when a hypothetical outfit stays just that. Maybe you would be inspired by some of these looks too! So without further ado, Aniston’s fall flatlays. Oh and I’ve tagged all of the shops (the best I could) for your shopping convenience!!
Fall is my favorite time of year for dressing my kids. It’s the best time of year for mixing and matching, layering and combining seasons, and of course mashing up patterns. Sometimes the best outfit is totally unplanned, or unmatched. Let your creative side run wild here!
Of course I am also a big believer in the simpler the better. But for the most part I let my boys help me pick their favorite pieces, then we style them together.
Here is a quick list of pieces I’m loving for the fall.
Tall socks (Yes this is where all the shops are getting them from, don’t overpay!!)
Ripped Denim (Thrift some skinny jeans or get on major sale and rip em up)
Fringe Moccs from Starry Knight Design
