Quarantine Crafts

IMG_0582.JPG

I feel like I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life, ok not really like this, but weeks with nothing to do but craft. I have an entire closet dedicated to art, and that’s why day one I was ready to dive in. Below are the things we have planned to work on over the next few weeks.

Modern art.

I had a few frames we needed to fill so I started looking on Pinterest. I found several prints that I loved and I had the kids try to recreate them. (videos on my Instagram @madeoverbymandy)

Bleach/tie dye

Coming into spring I’m loving the tie dye trend, or more the bleach washed trend. We picked through the kids closets and found old worn out pieces of clothes to up cycle. We bleached them just like you would with tie dye. (videos coming on instagram)

Patches

I’m in love with Stoney Clover. All of their custom goodies make me so happy. I ordered some patches on amazon, and also directly from their site to jazz up my own pouches.

Happy flower pots

We had quite a few standard clay pots, so I decided to paint them and put happy messages on them, or smily faces on them and deliver plants to my elderly neighbors.

Yarn wall hangers and pom poms

As I’m confined to my home I’m realizing how many white walls we still have. So I’m finding fun ways to fill them. Here are two pins that will help you brainstorm. Here and here.

I’m sure I will continue to add crafts and activities to our schedule, so check back often. Also if you are following me on instagram I will be posting more on each topic. Stay safe and healthy everyone. And don’t forget to be a ray of sunshine.
